14 May 2006
At 15:00 Hrs during a coastal scouting mission 1 mile west of the Seven
Sisters near Beachyhead, UK - Lts. Ducan, Gemma, and Jill spotted 2 Aerial
Insertion balloons rising in front of the squad. Coming from the seaward
side the balloons appeared from below the cliffs, rose quickly and headed
inland N by NW. Positive identification was made. No trooper was spotted.
Further investigation proved inconclusive. A reasonable assumption
suggests that trooper was detached below the cliffs by a passing civilian
within minutes of our contact with balloons.
Reported by Capt. McCloud - Task Force Clover, INV. UK
